Does it spy on me?

The disabled overlay path is designed for on-device text processing. Its data-flow and supported-app behavior still require physical-device verification before release.

Does it use a lot of battery?

Battery impact has not yet been validated across the supported-device matrix.

Do I need this if I already have SecureChat?

SecureChat protects messages inside SecureChat. Chameleon protects text, notifications, and workflows across other apps. They are strongest together.

Overlay Encryption

Cross-device overlay research for supported Android apps. This capability is disabled in the current alpha until authenticated pairing and physical two-device tests pass.

Rule-Based Automation

Define local rules by WiFi network, GPS location, or active app. Rule-to-overlay activation remains unavailable until the overlay protocol is verified.

Private Zone

Local file storage uses XChaCha20-Poly1305 and remains subject to the external security review required before release.

Decoy Profile

Enter the wrong PIN and Chameleon activates an empty decoy profile. No contacts, no messages, no files. The real data stays invisible and encrypted beneath the surface.

Geofence rules can change local state. Cross-device encryption effects remain disabled pending end-to-end verification.
